Production capabilities

Biaxially oriented polypropylene film is one of the most commonly used materials in the packaging industry. Thanks to its properties, it is used for the production of packaging for food products, e.g. cookies, chocolate products, wafers, ice cream, pasta, crisps, chips, snacks, bread, as well as for wrapping boxes of tea, coffee, cosmetics, CDs, DVDs, flowers, etc.

BOPP film is characterized by very good sealability, favorable mechanical properties and low permeability of water vapour and odours.

Polypropylene film can be printed using both rotogravure and flexographic methods. It can be used as a monofilm as well as it can be a component of laminates created in the solvent-based and solvent-free lamination process. Packaging based on it is used on horizontal HFFS and vertical VFFS packaging machines. The tightness of the packaging can be achieved by sealing or with an optional layer of cold seal.

BOPP films are manufactured at Alupol Films in Oświęcim

BOPP films are an excellent substrate for the barrier, sputtered aluminum layer. At the plant in Oświęcim, we perform metallization on a highly specialized device dedicated to large width films.  The possibility of obtaining different values of optical densities allows the production of both simple decorative films and high-barrier technical packaging films.

At Alupol Films, we manufacture gravure printing cylinders. We have our own repro studio, dealing with the processing of files needed to engrave cylinders.

Important tasks of the department include the development of a pattern, enabling the production of a printing plate with a quality and colour corresponding to the approved digital proof. Colour reproduction is based on ArtPro software, Adobe Suite and Corel. In order to maintain high quality and colour requirements, the GMG system and the UGRA/FOGRA test print certification system are used.

The timeliness and high quality of orders is influenced by the fact that we have three automated lines producing printing cylinders.

We have our own reproduction studio dealing with the processing of files needed to make photopolymer plates for flexo printing. Their production takes place in the plant in Tychy, where the printers are also located.

Digitally made photopolymer plates ensure quick implementation of new graphic packaging designs into production and reduce the lead time from our customers to a minimum.
